There’s plenty of fun for kids at Halloween in Anaheim
Halloween in Anaheim is a unique experience. With a mix of traditional fun, like the Anaheim Fall Festival & Halloween Parade (which has been rolling through town since 1923) and new thrills, like scary haunted houses, there’s something here for everyone.
Fall Festival and Parade
Anaheim’s Fall Festival & Halloween Parade which takes place on October 27th, is one of the top family-friendly events of the year. Led by a headless horseman, the 1.5-mile parade features an assortment of pumpkins, moons, witches, cats, spacemen and other creatures. It’s a celebration that the community takes great pride in, and it shows! The festival also includes a costume contest for kids and a Halloween pooch parade featuring the best-dressed dogs. If you’re a dog-lover, you should also consider checking out the Happy Halloweiner Doggy Dress Up the following day at Huntington Beach.
Boo at the Zoo
The Santa Ana Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo event offers a safe and fun environment for kids to trick-or-treat from ten stations spread across the Trick-or-Treat Trail. Children can also check out animal presentations, storytime, ride the “Boofari” express train, Ferris wheel and a carousel. There’s even a “Teen Scream” haunted house for older kids.
With nearly a hundred Orange County events worth checking out, including haunted houses, tours and Mickey’s Halloween party, there’s a great assortment of fun for kids at this time of year.
